Nichrome strip is basically an austenitic Ni-Cr alloy that is utilized in the elevated temperature conditions about 1200oC. Nikrothal 80 resistance wire exhibits higher formation competency and weldability. It offers superior resistance to corrosion as well as oxidation. The alloy wire retains its ductile character even after long use.
Nichrome strip is purposeful as the electric heating equipments in the domestic as well a commercial furnaces. Due to high electric resistivity coefficient at the elevated temperatures it generates large amount of heat when warmed up. Its resistance increases with further increase in temperature.
